Which is a better driver, the Callaway Steelhead Plus or the Callaway Hawkeye VFT?

I was going to go w/ the 11 loft, I am a beginner, average height. Looking for a club that will help me improve on my distance

I would go with callaway because it has more flex to it and I would go with a 13 loft because you are to the great game of golf

How do I adjust the Taylor made R7 limited driver?

It has new movable weight technology. I know how to take the cartridges out but I don’t know where I should put them for my swing. I hook the ball a lot, where should i put the cartridges?

Take out all of the weight screws and then screw the heaviest weight into the slot on the toe of the club. Then screw in the other two weight in the other slots.

I really need a new driver?

I have played titleist drivers ever since i have been playing serious golf. I have used a 905r for the past year and a half. It has lost its pop and i have lost crazy distance. Any suggestions for a new driver?

The driver head doesnt matter supposedly.. its the shaft… I just got fitted and it makes a huge difference. Get whatever head you prefer.. but if you used to hit that shaft good, get a similar shaft.. or pay the money and get fitted.

What is a good golf driver for a resonable price?

I am starting to golf and am in need of a driver. The driver that i have now is not accurate at all. I hook them very badly. Whenever i hit with one of my friends drivers they go pretty straight. If you could tell me a good driver that will make the ball go straight and far. Im looking for accuracy over distance. I would like the club to be around $100-$200 dollers. Thank you.

Go to your local Dick’s Sports store. They have last years drivers for $200 or less (new). Check out the Cobra Speed, Callaway Big Bertha 460 and Taylor Made r7 draw and r5 draw drivers. Nike Sasquatch/Sumo is also a good one. Avoid Walter Hagen (junk), Titleist (designed for skilled golfers) and the Cleveland HiBore (odd looking/sounding). Also Dick’s Sports have a PGA professional on site. Ask him/her for their opinion if you need extra help.

what do you think about the brick style Nike SQ Sumo and Callaway FT-i drivers coming out later?

Photos of these wacky drivers are at this blog (a friend’s blog):

In my opinion, I believe they will change the way the game is played off the tee. These drivers are supposedly ultra-forgiving and it is very hard to slice or hook the ball of these faces. Only time will tell how good the technology is though. I, honestly, can’t wait to try one.

have a Taylor made r5 driver it is weighted neutral i want a draw flight of the golf ball how do i weight it?

my taylor made driver is neutral weighted i want a draw flight of the ball is there a way to weight the club to favour this

Neutral Weighted means that both of the weight screws in the back of the club are of equal weight. you will need to change the weight on the port closest to the shaft. Most Draws are set up with a 14 Gram weight on the shaft side. you may need a weight kit from TM in order to do this.

what driver is better titleist 905R or 905T?

i hit the ball about 250 yds.

the 905R is the better choice – it is more forgiving and has actually out performed the 905T according to players who have hit both – Zach Johnson, Charley Hoffman and other Titleist sponsored players use the 905R – I personally have one and it’s going to be in my bag for a long time

carrying a golf driver on an international flight?

Hi, i need to know if there is a charge on carrying a golf driver(not the whole set) on an international flight. And what will be the best way of carrying it.

Call your airline directly. some charge extra, some do not. The driver is like weapon. It can be handed directly to the flight crew. There are special containers for golf clubs rated for rough handeling. If you can’t afford them, try using a rifle case. A large rifle case will hold two or three clubs easlily.

What is the difference between callaway x460 driver and the x460 tour driver?

other than a ton of money, i am not quite sure. i am a 14 year old that golfs frequently. i have the callaway x460 and it is awesome. i can hit it up to 275-280 if i hit the center of the clubface and it seems to go fairly low with a lot of roll. so if you are looking into getting one i would suggest to buy it. it is well worth the investement. the only negative i really have to it is the sound it makes when you hit is square. it really does sound like a brass band is playing.

i just got the taylor made tour burner driver, and i absolutely love it! I have cleveland cg4 irons, and was thinking of getting taylor made tour burner irons. would you stick with the cg4 or what?

it depends on your own feel. you can try the TM tour burner irons first to see if it is your liking.
