What do u think is better a king cobra ld speed driver(2007) or a Taylor made burner(2007) please no rubbish?

guess answers

the cobra is more accurate 8 to 12 yards. severe difference. better shaft is the reason. use caution on loft of cobra , get the ball up in a hurry. also few yards more roll. it would take a shaft upgrade of 75 to 100 dollars to turn the taylor made into the equivalent of the cobra. t m very low kick point shafts. low kick point less accuracy. a sleeper model , worth a try is The macgrgor tour model. very very good club. neither cobra or macgrgor have budget of taylor made. defiantly the cobra superior shaft.

Whats a better driver Callaway Diablo or Taylor Made R9?

They’re 2 different clubs. The Diablo is a forgiving, long and staright driver. The R9 (which I used for a while) is a players driver in which you can shape it around corners, etc. I would only go with the R9 if you are under a 6ish handicap. Both great, but the Diablo is a driver everyone can use, the ORIGINAL R9 is specialized. If you’re talking about the R9460, that’s a whole other ball game.

I am going to USA for holiday and want to buy a golf driver. What is best way to get it back into the UK? Paul?

3 Options.

1: Phone the company who you are flying with and explain the situation. Tell them that there is a good chance that your return baggage will contain a Golf Driver and that you wish this to be brought back and what are their policies regarding this. They will explain whether this is possible or not and what charges you are likely to pay for doing this.

2: Where ever you are going on holiday, log onto their tourist board and ask for all the local golf shops, contact these golf shops and ask them if they despatch to the UK, most of them will have this service available at a cost.

3: Phone the recognised international couriers (DHL, Parcelforce etc etc) and tell them that you are going on holiday to Florida (Example!) and that you wish to send a package back home from florida, they will tell you where their offices are and how much this service will cost.

REMEMBER: You are not the first person to want to do this, all three options will have plenty of experience of dealing with this situation, just compare the prices and then pick which option you prefer.

I would recommend you get the insurance (Make sure you ask if this is included in the price they have quoted) just to be on the safe side though.

One Question Though:

Why are you going to america to buy a driver?

I understand that because of the strength of the pound against the dollar you are going to get a good wedge of dollars for your money but that doesn’t help if the price is twice as much.

I recently brought a Ping G10 driver, 4 Wood and Irons from my local supplier, I was fitted on site and have a 2 year guarantee and a lifetime warranty which enables me to go back and have the clubs tweaked when ever I want. All this + a Ping Cart Bag, A box of Pro V1’s and a towel came to £750.00.

When I enquired to Ping in America (I am going to Vegas in September) I was told this set would cost me around $1800.00, with a $80.00 shipping fee, that = £940.00!!!!

Just shop around before you go, you might be suprised.

Good Luck

With the Callaway Golf GES set of 7 clubs what do you use in sand?

I just got the Callaway GES club set that I bought on Ebay. It has three woods, three irons which are I think are hybrids but these are my first golf clubs so I’m a bit confused and a putter. There is no wedge, or at least nothing that says it is a wedge. The clubs are all labeled as driver, long fairway wood, mid fairway wood, long iron, mid iron, short iron and obviously putter. So I am curious if anyone knows which of these clubs I would use in sand? Right now I am just practicing driving but eventually I want to play on a course so will need to know which to use. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Out of the sand you want to play the club that has the most loft. That way the ball will get out easier. I recommend using your short iron for greenside bunkers (Ones right by the green) and I reccomend your mid iron for fairway bunkers (Ones far from the hole along the fairway)

Taylor Made R7 Draw Driver Review?

Has anyone tried the Taylor Made R7 Draw Driver out on a range? I want to know if it significantly cuts down on the slice off a tee. I’m a chopper with a driver and would like to keep my drives straighter into the fairways.

Although I am female…I have a Draw with a mens reg graphite shaft as I am a strong hitter. If I am hitting well…I NAIL it and I outdrive most males I play with. If I’m not hitting well…it goes a long way in the air but still a good distance but maily straight if I line up accordingly. I’ve only had it a couple of months so I am still mastering it. BUT….I am seriously considering a new quad instead as I think the degrees of the draw is too high for my swing. Good Luck :)

What is a good left hand golf driver?

I want to buy a driver for my 20 year old brother for his birthday. I am looking to spend around $200, he is a lefty, and relatively new to golf, through he is taking lessons to improve. I would like to get him a good driver, not a beginners one (if there is such thing) but I know absolutely nothing on the subject. So I was wondering what would be a good driver to buy? I don’t care about brand… Any help would be much appreciated.

buy a Titleist driver from this years models or last year, but buy it used! It will be a lot cheaper and look just like new and it will perform just as good as the new one too. I pick Titleist because it is by far the best brand in golf chosen by the pros.

difference in Taylor made golf clubs?

what is the difference between the Taylor made burner driver and fairway woods and the Taylor made burner tp driver and fairway woods

The TP models are not draw biased. Basically the burner sets up closed at adress. I don’t think this a good club for even a high handicapper who normally slices it. By simply closing the face at adress, the driver is not responding correctly to the swing and may cause more problems for a high handicapper. Get a driver that sets up square at adress and learn to hit it straight. It will make you a better player.

Nickent 4DX Driver vs. Callaway Big Bertha 460 CC?

Does anyone whose played with the Nickent 4DX Driver recommend playing with it? especially if your pretty consistent in your drives? I played with the callaway Big Bertha for an entire round and loved the thing. Are the two drivers very similar? And does the Big Bertha actually that much distance?

The Nickent 4DX Driver is a fantastic Driver, and certainly has more technology than the older Big Bertha. You will find many many players on the Nationwide Tour use the Nickent 4DX and virtually none would be using the Big Bertha. It is a matter of personal preference, and if you like the Big Bertha and feel comfortable with it thats the main thing.

Follow this link to information on the Nickent 4DX and other Nickent products.
