How can Tiger Woods get away without being questioned by the police for days?

Tiger Woods hit a fire hydrant and a tree, went to the hospital, was released and State Troopers are turned away from his house when they try to question him. If a common man did this he would have a warrant issued for his arrest for not cooperating with law enforcement. Please explain.

Same reason that Dick Cheney wasn’t charged for not reporting shooting a man in the face. There are special rules in this country if you are rich.

Of course, technically, he doesn’t have to talk to the police under the 5th amendment, but it seems they are jerking the police around and trying to come up with a story.

To the folks who insist that it isn’t a police matter, it is. It could be reckless driving, it could be a domestic abuse case, it could be driving impaired (Sleepy, angry, etc.) The accident and the circumstances make it probable cause and anyone else would have been escorted to the police station for questioning, probably when they were released from the hospital.

Should the golf swing be led by the shoulders or the lower body?

My golf instructor has taught me to lead the swing with the shoulders, but I have heard other golf pros saying that the swing should be led by the lower body and the shoulders should follow. Which is correct? To me, it feels more natural to lead with the twisting of the lower body.
All great answers so far. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I think that there is really two actions that initiate the golf swing. They are the ‘pulling’ down by the upper body/shoulders and the start of the rotation of the hips. In order for a golfer to hit the ball nearly facing the target line, the hips have to be cleared. This _requires_ that the hips move ahead of (or at minimum) faster than the shoulders. Since the latter is almost impossible to pull off, the former is the solution. The hips lead the body rotation.

Personally, If I lead with my upper body, nasty, nasty stuff happens… If I lead with the hips and pull the club down into the slot, beauty can be achieved. As a previous tennis and baseball player… The actions are almost identical to golf and in those sports the hips also lead first. As mentioned before this increases the torque release (spring) in the rotation, and builds the lag needed for the release to ‘catch’ up with the rest of the inertia developed in the swing.

Wow, that got technical in a hurry.

Why do golf drivers have a rounded face?

Golf irons have flat faces, so why are driver’s faces rounded?

Drivers have to take into account two factors; center of gravity and gear effect. The head of the driver rotates around the center of gravity, which located back in the club head (away from the face.) Assume you are hitting a right-handed driver. The toe of the club is rotating in a counter-clockwise direction more quickly than the heel of the club. That rotation would put hook spin (counter-clockwise spin) on the golf ball of it were struck on the toe of the club. Conversely if the ball were struck with the heel of the club, it would put slice spin (clockwise spin) on the ball. So…the club face is rounded because a ball struck with hook spin needs to start out to the right and vice-versa for slice spin, the ball needs to start to the left to counter the effect of the spin. The rounded face helps the toe shots get pushed a little and the heel shots get pulled a little. Irons have the center of gravity closer the face and the gear effect is lessened, therefor no rounding is needed. Look at you clubs. The larger the head, the more rounded the face. Sorry for the long answer…hard to sum up.

Titleist 909 driver and Taylormade r7 limited driver?

If you have tried any of these drivers Please tell me everything you like and dislike.

TaylorMade Men’s r7 Quad 425 Driver
$249.99
Compared to the original r7 Quad, the r7 425 boasts 17 percent more movable weight, a seven percent increase in the Moment of Inertia (MOI), a 45 percent larger span of horizontal CG movement, and a 13 percent increase in backspin rate adjustment, among other improvements. All of the enhancements mean that the r7 425 is more forgiving of average swings and promotes a wider change in shot shaping and trajectory. Plus, the r7 425 is engineered to deliver a larger draw bias when the cartridges are configured to promote a draw, along with a higher flight angle when the cartridges are configured to promote a high-neutral trajectory. The variety of improvements helps golfers hit the ball or higher or lower, or helps low- and mid-handicap players work the ball to the right by varying degrees up to 13 yards.

Taylor Made Burner or Callaway Diablo Driver?

I have narrowed it down to these 2 drivers becasue I like them the best and they both are in my price range.

tough question to ask unless you live warm state. range balls dead air thick. the only factor is. if you are a accurate driver of the ball the taylor made just a touch longer. less forgiveness. if you consider your self average driver the call away more accurate more forgiving. it really is a matter of cosmetics. with the taylor mad es slight distance advantage you will still be hitting same club into the green. it is a case of personal prefence and cosmetics. the hard part is call away does have higher flight. than equal loft taylor made. tough time of year to make decision. but a nice one to make

What is the best disc golf driver for max distance?

I am throwing an 175 gram Innova Star Valkyrie right now and seems to fly well. Are there any other recommended drivers to maximize my distance on drives?

It all really depends on how good your technique is and how you throw. For instance I have seen some pros throw putters over 400 feet without breaking a sweat.

But if the Valkyrie is flying good for you and you want to try something different I would recommend a Beast. They are very similar to a Valkyrie they are just slightly faster and have more glide. But the Valkyrie is a good distance disc, it actually holds the world record.
