which of these 3 balls is best for me?

Titleist Pro-V1

NIKE one

Callaway HX Tour

-I’m not the best golfer in the world but i like to use nice balls…i average 80-85
I’m currently hitting the nike powerlong and the bridgestone e6
which one of these balls is your favorite and which one do you think would work best for me?

Your score is not what effects the kind of ball your play. It is your clubhead speed. A ProV1(x) would not be worth it to you if you have a clubhead speed below 95mph, or 105mph for a ProV1x. I wouldn’t suggest the Nike One (black or platinum) as there are better balls to get for the same price. The Callaway is a nice golf ball with a very soft face. It doesn’t require as much clubhead speed as the ProV1(x) does, but the softer face does have its downsides. The most obvious one is that it will get cut up the first time you use it. The grooves in your golf club tear up the face, and if you hit a tree or cart path the ball cover will be scuffed beyond use. Don’t let me mislead you though, the HX Tour is a great ball. I hope this description helps.

What is the Best golf ball?

i don’t know which golf ball to get. every company says theirs is the best. i know the tops right now are titleist pro v1, nike one black/platinum, and callaway tour i/ix. i’d like a ball with a lot of distance but still pretty good spin, too.

The Nike One (platinum) and the Callaway tour are both very good balls, favorite of the two personally is the Callaway. However, I still believe the best ball by far for giving you distance and great spin and control is the Pro V1.

By the way, the Pro V1 is not # 1 on the tour (BY FAR) for no reason.

Now let me tell you one further note that many don’t look into or realize.

You should buy the pro v that’s best for you, between the Pro V1 and the Pro V1x. ProV1 gives you a little more spin on the ball and the Pro V1x because of its trajectory gives you a longer straighter drive. Their is not a huge difference, they both are awesome. However, you might as well get the one that best fits your swing and ability.

Good luck and there’s no place on earth like being on the links.

Enjoy,

Where can I buy just one box of 12 or less personalized golf balls?

I went online looking to buy just one golf ball with a red sox logo on it. All the places I’ve been to want me to buy a MINIMUM of 6 dozen boxes of golf balls for about $200.

I’m ok with buying one box! If you know a website that lets you buy just one box it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Any Good Website To Learn About Golf Swing?

I’m really eager to learn everything about this sport. I don’t have money to take some lessons from a pro, but I can go practice on driving range everyday. I’ve been playing it for a month. I try to find a good tutorial on golf swing, but there are only a couple online videos. I think it is hard to define your posture respect on your height. Some guys on the videos have different height also.

Go on to youtube and look for a guy/channel called clemshaw. He’s a pro instructor from canada and he has posted at least 100 videos on youtube.

I use his tips a lot and I think he is great, he really says things in a way that makes everything click in your head, and it’s free.

What’s the next best ball next to the Pro V1?

Wow! I played with the Pro V1 for the first time yesterday. I hit every fairway (but that was because of the driver) but the ball was the softest ball I’ve ever played with. From green to driver, wow!

Normally I play with the MaxFli Noodle Long and Soft or Titleist HVC Tour SF or Titleist Tour Prestige balls I get at Costco (supposedly they are dated but are still damn good), but I bought a box of Pro V1’s before a round of golf yesterday!

Loved them. Great feel on the green and soft off the driver.

Too expensive for my weekly golf game but hard to stay away from. On those ‘nicer’ golf course I’ll break them out, for now I need another alternative that is cheaper.

If you really love the feel of the Pro V-1 and the distance but want to save a few bucks why not give the Titleist NXT Tours out, They have alot of the same playing characteristics of the Pro V-1. A great 3 piece ball at a really good price, you can usually find them at Target and not have to pay full price like you would at a pro shop.

What ball should I use?

I am getting a new set of clubs for Christmas (long way off, I know, but today was like 55*F and raining and not golf weather, and my course will be closed soon), BUT: I am a 14 year old (6′1") who can drive 190-205, but I am on a budget. At my Target, they have Callaways, Nike, and Top-Flite among others.

Callaway and Nike both have excellent stuff, but the Top-Flite is way better budget wise.

So, in the Top-Flite’s I am deciding between D2 Distance-for more distance or D2 Feel-Soft and is good on and around greens.

I would really like honest opinion about whether I should get a soft ball that feels great off the club and good for scoring, or one a little firmer, but not too hard, that gives me about 5-15 more yards off the tee.
I’m actually just a beginner- started a couple months ago, so am I doing pretty good distancewise (190-205)?

Well il be honost. but its to improve your game so dont take it the wrong way. Im guessing sense you can only drive 190-205 that your not a great golfer. But i would recommend a top flite because they are firmer and you wont hit as many hooks or slices with a lower spin ball (firmer ball is the same thing). And once you get better move up to a soft ball and your game will get even better.

Good luck.

Edit: Thats what i expected, probably a beginner. and 205 is really good for a beginner so you want to get more accuracy out of your ball which is why you should use a harder ball (Top Flite)

What is the difference between these golf balls?

As far as distance and spin?

Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x
Srixon Z-URS and Z-URC
taylormade tp red and black
callaway hx tour and hx tour 56
nike one platinum and black

thanks for all the answers

I can’t comment on all of the golf balls mentioned. However I have played Pro V1, the Callaway, and the Nike One Black/Platinum. I am partial to Nike and that goes beyond golf. I like the Nike One ball better than the Pro V1 and Callaway simply because I hit it farther. All are great around the greens. The Nike One balls in my opinion are a touch softer. Most of your answers are going to come from people who are loyal to a certain brand such as I. It really depends on the game you have. I may hit the Srixon ball better than the Nike One’s, but I will never find out because "In Nike I Trust."

What is the best overall golf ball for me?

I am looking at these golf balls:
Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1X
Nike One Platinum
Callaway HX Tour
Titleist NXT Tour
Distance is not a problem. I want a ball with a nice feel, good control and nice greenside control.

P.S. You can add another ball type if you had one in mind.
P.S.S Price is not a factor.

I have tried numerous golf balls including the four above and many, many more.

The honest answer to your question is that unless you are a single figure handicapper you are not going to notice the difference between the top-branded golf balls. They all claim to bring different plus points to the table but at the end of the day I tend to play with the ones that happened to be on sale when I walked into the Pro Shop.

For the Record here is my opinion: –

Pro V1 / Pro V1x – Technology is 7 years old, tends to spin an awful lot which is great for my short irons, not so great for my driver!

Nike One Platinum – A Very Good Ball, long off the tee and very, very nice round the green, tends to scuff quite easily

Callaway HX Tour – I just don’t tend to hit this very far, I don’t know whether i’ve just convinced myself this is a bad ball but i don’t like it.

Titleist – A poor mans Pro V1, it’s a good ball but the Pro V1’s better, and if money isn’t a problem i’d stick to Pro V’s.

Balls Not Listed: –

Wilson Tx4 – Quality ball at a fraction of Pro V’s prices

Srixon ZUR – MY RECOMMENDATION, AMAZING BALL

Srixon AD333 – Cheaper version of ZUR, still good though

Callaway Warbird – Hard as a rock but boy does it fly

Nike Juice – See Warbird

Good Luck!
