You can always count on Taylor Made to bring a new driver or two to the market every spring, and this year is no exception as they have intriduced the R9 Super Tri and Burner Superfast models. I am joined by Tom Olsavsky, Taylor Made’s Senior Director of New Product Creation to look at what makes these clubs stand out from the crowd. We also look at the all new Burner Superfast Fairway Metals which feature the largest heads Taylor Made has ever offered. For more information on the clubs, check them out at www.taylormadegolf.com.

my grandma just gave me my grandpa’s and im about to start so can anyone help me
Yes. 45" is the standard length that many manufacturers follow.
Recently, with lighter shaft and bigger club head, some companies (e.g. Nike, TaylorMade) have lengthened the stock driver length (e.g. Nike Sumo 45.75", TaylorMade Burner 46").
They claim their drivers add 10 more yards….which is true, but they don’t normally mention the fact that they’ve also increased the shaft by almost an inch. The longer the shaft, the further the ball will fly, but the harder to make solid contact.
Gotta love their marketing department!!

like I know the Titleist Pro V1 is up there, but what else, the Gamer?
The Gamer is cheap in comparison to the Pro V1. It costs half as much as the Pro V1. The Pro V1 and V1x will run you over 40 bucks just like the Nike One Tour and Tour D, Srixon Z-Star, Bridgestone Tour series(B-330, 330s and 330rx), TaylorMade TP Red and Black, Callaway Tour i and Tour ix.

As far as distance and spin?
Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x
Srixon Z-URS and Z-URC
taylormade tp red and black
callaway hx tour and hx tour 56
nike one platinum and black
thanks for all the answers
I can’t comment on all of the golf balls mentioned. However I have played Pro V1, the Callaway, and the Nike One Black/Platinum. I am partial to Nike and that goes beyond golf. I like the Nike One ball better than the Pro V1 and Callaway simply because I hit it farther. All are great around the greens. The Nike One balls in my opinion are a touch softer. Most of your answers are going to come from people who are loyal to a certain brand such as I. It really depends on the game you have. I may hit the Srixon ball better than the Nike One’s, but I will never find out because "In Nike I Trust."
