help with a broken golf club(driver)?

the other day i got a driver, but the head boke off. its the part were the head and shaft meet. i know that i can just bring it to a golf pro and get it fixed, but does anyone no how to fix it myself?

Well I would take it back where you got it, if there is any sort of return policy. If not, then you need to reshaft the club or pay someone else to do it. So now you need to buy a shaft. Then you need to get the rest of the shaft out of the head. That generally takes a blowtorch and a graphite shaft puller attached to a table clamp. Then you need to drill any leftovers out of the hosel and clean it with a hosel bore brush. After all of that is complete, mix your 2 part epoxy, install your shaft (don’t forget your ferrule), and clamp it into place until the epoxy sets. Then you need to trim the butt end to length and install a new grip. There you go!

But if you want my advice, it will really be cheaper for you to take it to a golfsmith type store and get it re-shafted. If the driver cost less than $100, throw it away and get a different one. There are just too many things you have to purchase to do a proper re-shaft.

which of these 3 balls is best for me?

Titleist Pro-V1

NIKE one

Callaway HX Tour

-I’m not the best golfer in the world but i like to use nice balls…i average 80-85
I’m currently hitting the nike powerlong and the bridgestone e6
which one of these balls is your favorite and which one do you think would work best for me?

Your score is not what effects the kind of ball your play. It is your clubhead speed. A ProV1(x) would not be worth it to you if you have a clubhead speed below 95mph, or 105mph for a ProV1x. I wouldn’t suggest the Nike One (black or platinum) as there are better balls to get for the same price. The Callaway is a nice golf ball with a very soft face. It doesn’t require as much clubhead speed as the ProV1(x) does, but the softer face does have its downsides. The most obvious one is that it will get cut up the first time you use it. The grooves in your golf club tear up the face, and if you hit a tree or cart path the ball cover will be scuffed beyond use. Don’t let me mislead you though, the HX Tour is a great ball. I hope this description helps.

is the Driver golf club always the longest in length?

my grandma just gave me my grandpa’s and im about to start so can anyone help me

Yes. 45" is the standard length that many manufacturers follow.

Recently, with lighter shaft and bigger club head, some companies (e.g. Nike, TaylorMade) have lengthened the stock driver length (e.g. Nike Sumo 45.75", TaylorMade Burner 46").

They claim their drivers add 10 more yards….which is true, but they don’t normally mention the fact that they’ve also increased the shaft by almost an inch. The longer the shaft, the further the ball will fly, but the harder to make solid contact.

Gotta love their marketing department!! :-)

Why does my golf swing always break during a round?

I always start well but my swing always breaks down in the middle of a round and I start slicing everything right and can’t seem to get my good swing back.
Anyone who plays golf will appreciate how frustrating this is for me.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice then please tell, I’m all ears!!

Lack of stamina , you should spend some time in the gym.

What does the nike Juice golf ball box warning label say?

I know its a joke but I can’t find out what it says

Attention: A user’s enhanced distance and scoring may adversely affect the moods of playing partners. While the flight and trajectory of the Juice ball are extraordinary, this does not give the player the ability to fly. As always, Nike Golf recommends that you play responsibly.

Dosage: Start with one Juice ball in the morning. Take with black coffee. Will take effect immediately after stretching and wagering are complete. Do take Juice and drive

Lob Wedge bounce help?

I just went out to Golf Town to go and purchase a lob wedge. I have never owned one before, so i wasn’t completely sure what bounce was. After a little research, i realized that bounce is the amount the leading edge on the wedge sits up from the ground. With this in mind, I went to Golf Town. I looked at all the wedges and I narrowed it down to the two i liked the most: the Titleist Vokey Spin Milled and the Cleveland CG14. After back and forth for about an hour, i decided to go with the Vokey Design. But when i got home, i started hitting half swing pitches in my basement, when i noticed the ball wasn’t getting as much loft as i anticipated from a lob wedge. I was impressed though how easily i got the ball to check up. Anyways i checked the bottom of the club and found that the bounce is 4. So now i am wondering, did I make the right call? I plan on using my lob wedge from 40- yards from the green. I want the ball to check easy from this range. I have a Top Flite 56 Sand Wedge also.
Also, what does bounce actually do?
What is the difference in ball flight/speed/spin between a lob wedge with 4 bounce and one with 8?

Bounce is to prevent the leading edge from digging into the turf even when the club is hit with a descending blow. The difference you will notice between high and low bounce is more of a forgiveness issue. A higher bounce will help prevent laying sod over the back of the ball if you hit it fat. A lower bounce helps you get under the ball on tighter lies. For 40 yards and in, you probably made a good choice with the low bounce Vokey. I didn’t have the same trajectory issue with my Vokey, so I can’t help you there, but why fix it if it works?

I like to have a high, and low bounce option. I’ll use the high option from sand, really thick rough, and hard-pan lies (more forgiving), and I use the low bounce the rest of the time.

how can i find teaching pro for "stack and tilt" golf swing in southern CA?

I bought dvd set for "stack and tilt" golf swing. And i really want to learn that swing with teaching pro.

To bad you live in in Southern CAL, I would be glad to help you, but 1700 miles is a long journey for a golf lesson. My recommendation is to find a good PGA teaching professional who would be will to look over the DVD set and study the "Stack and Tilt" swing. While the stack and tilt does introduce some new ideas, the Basic fundamentals of the golf swing is very similar. A teaching professional who understands the swing will be able to look over the DVD set and assist you in developing your " Stack and Tilt" swing. The trick might be finding a teaching professional who is willing to do this, but trust me there will be ones that will do this.

As a teaching professional myself I love studying different types of swings, and have taught people based on request both the "Stack and Tilt" and The " One Plane Swing" While both of these have some differences I don’t have a problem teaching different swings and actually enjoy it.

I would say that the "Stack and Tilt" swing is really modeled around a younger more flexible type of golfer, and is not an "easier" type of golf swing its simply one the some people have had better success with, especially low- handicapers how have a tendency of hanging back on their right side to long. However, the "Stack and Tilt" as some very good results for the right players.

I hope this answers your question. If not I will look for another posting from you. Good Luck in your search!!

What ball should I use?

I am getting a new set of clubs for Christmas (long way off, I know, but today was like 55*F and raining and not golf weather, and my course will be closed soon), BUT: I am a 14 year old (6′1") who can drive 190-205, but I am on a budget. At my Target, they have Callaways, Nike, and Top-Flite among others.

Callaway and Nike both have excellent stuff, but the Top-Flite is way better budget wise.

So, in the Top-Flite’s I am deciding between D2 Distance-for more distance or D2 Feel-Soft and is good on and around greens.

I would really like honest opinion about whether I should get a soft ball that feels great off the club and good for scoring, or one a little firmer, but not too hard, that gives me about 5-15 more yards off the tee.
I’m actually just a beginner- started a couple months ago, so am I doing pretty good distancewise (190-205)?

Well il be honost. but its to improve your game so dont take it the wrong way. Im guessing sense you can only drive 190-205 that your not a great golfer. But i would recommend a top flite because they are firmer and you wont hit as many hooks or slices with a lower spin ball (firmer ball is the same thing). And once you get better move up to a soft ball and your game will get even better.

Good luck.

Edit: Thats what i expected, probably a beginner. and 205 is really good for a beginner so you want to get more accuracy out of your ball which is why you should use a harder ball (Top Flite)

What are the Top 10 Most Expensive Brands of Golf Balls!?!?

like I know the Titleist Pro V1 is up there, but what else, the Gamer?

The Gamer is cheap in comparison to the Pro V1. It costs half as much as the Pro V1. The Pro V1 and V1x will run you over 40 bucks just like the Nike One Tour and Tour D, Srixon Z-Star, Bridgestone Tour series(B-330, 330s and 330rx), TaylorMade TP Red and Black, Callaway Tour i and Tour ix.
